Can I use a speed sensor to ride?
Speed sensor connections are not supported by Vieta. You can still ride with a "classic" non-smart trainer by selecting "Ride at Original Speed" option on the connection screen before starting a ride. This will lock the video speed into the original ride length and speed, with no variation linked to your pedalling. This mode enables you to still enjoy the rides and scenery without a smart trainer. Vieta was built around delivering the best possible ride experience, with next generation video quality and a fully interactive, immersive feel during your ride. This experience with super smooth automatic gradient changes can only be delivered when connected to a compatible smart trainer or smart bike. We do recommend this type of setup.

Do I need to download the ride videos?
For most modern internet connections, you do not need to download the ride video before riding! Vieta has been built around high quality video that is still easily streamed on most internet connections. If you have internet speeds of 100Mbps or faster, you will easily be able to stream all the rides our highest 4K+ quality setting. In regions where internet speeds are lower (eg: 20-40Mbps), or the internet connection is unreliable, or if using 5G mobile data, it may be preferrable to decrease your streaming quality setting to 1080p or download the video in full before riding.

Does Vieta work with spin bikes or gym stationary bikes?
To connect with Vieta, your stationary bike needs to broadcast power data over an open Bluetooth channel (not "locked" into it's own app or tablet). The best way to know for sure is to try and connect! If your stationary bike is detected on the connection screen in Vieta, connect your devices and start a ride to see if your power and/or cadence data is displayed on the HUD during the ride. Does you bike have Bluetooth but is not detected or not connecting? Let us know! Tell us the make and model of your equipment and we might be able to diagnose the issue, adding compatibility in a future update. Email the team: support@vieta.cc
