Col du Lautaret from Bourg d'Oisans
33.9km · 1,407m of climbing · filmed by Bergziege
The Col du Lautaret is regularly used as the prelude to the famous Galibier. The ride from Bourg d'Oisans is long and follows the western slope through the wild and romantic Romanche Valley.
The fairly heavy traffic at the beginning is more than compensated for by breath-taking views, including those of the glacier-capped peaks of La Meije (3,983 m) towards the middle and end of the ride. If you want to experience real Tour de France feeling, include the Galibier loop in your training ride!
