Aosta Valley Bike Path

It's an easier day out, heading west through the Aosta Valley from Chambave. We get the main climb out of the way early, through a string of hamlets. Then we drop into Fénis and ride right past its medieval castle.

From there we pick up the bike path beside the Dora Baltea and follow the river almost all the way to Aosta. It's mostly flat, and it keeps us clear of the sometimes heavy traffic on the valley's main road.

In Aosta itself we pass the Torre di Bramafam, a tower on the old city walls. We finish in the lively pedestrian zone.
