Buffering or stop-start video playback:

On most modern internet connections, you do not need to download the ride video before riding. If you do find that the video is buffering or stopping part-way through your ride, downloading the ride video in full beforehand should prevent these playback issues.

If you have internet speeds of 100Mbps or faster, you should be able to stream in 4K+ quality.

In regions where internet speeds are lower (eg: 20-40Mbps), or the internet connection is unreliable, or if using 5G mobile data, it may be preferrable to decrease your streaming quality setting to 1080p or download the video in full before riding.

Blurry or low quality video:

Vieta offers three different video quality settings; 1080p, 4K, and 4K+

The lowest 1080p quality has the lowest file size for easier streaming, but loses overall quality compared to 4K and 4K+. The image resolution of 1080p is four times lower than 4K.

Setting your streaming preference to (or downloading in) 4K should resolve most playback quality issues.

As a guide, the following internet speeds will provide consistent streaming:

  • 100Mbps for 4K+
  • 50Mbps for 4K
  • 25Mbps for 1080p
